Slovene high-profile business mission to visit Cairo early December

A Slovene high-profile governmental mission is set to visit Cairo by the beginning of December 2016 to discuss enhancing joint economic ties, Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil announced Monday.
A large number of Slovene businessmen and investors is set to accompany the delegation, the minister noted.
During his meeting with Slovene Ambassador to Egypt, Tanja Miškova, Qabil clarified that the visit would target deepening economic relations between Egypt and Slovenia in addition to raising intra-trade rates as well as joint investments between two states within the coming period.
The high-ranking mission is set to encompass chairmen of 15 largest Slovene firms working in different fields notably the agricultural development and electric industries.
During the visit, Egyptian and Slovene sides are set to discuss establishing a number of joint projects in Suez Canal axe region.
Egypt and Slovenia are expected to sign a number of MoUs in investment and consumer protection fields since the visit eyes expanding joint investment projects and sharing expertise related to consumer protection system in both states.
Qabil emhpasised on the importance of forming Egyptian-Slovene joint business council to serve the system of economic ties between two states.
He also pointed out to the necessity of raising intra-trade levels between Egypt and Slovenia to cope with bilateral political ties.
On her side, Ambassador Miškova said that her country keens on enhancing political and economic relations with Egypt since it enjoys strategic place in the Middle East.
She clarified that Slovene firms keen on investing in the Egyptian market that would enable them to enter Africa.
Miškova announced that a Slovene bank is ready to fund Egyptian-Slovene joint investment projects in different fields.
