Al Habtoor City, the world's biggest residential and hospitality development under construction, is set to employ thousands of people, the company behind the project has said.
The Al Habtoor Group said recruitment teams are hiring locally and abroad to ensure a diverse mix of nationalities and skillsets.
The City, dreamed up by Al Habtoor Group chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, will open its doors to the public later this year.
Al Habtoor, who built his first hotel on the plot in 1979, said Al Habtoor City will be a major boost to the local economy.
"There will be thousands of staff in Al Habtoor City. It will be buzzing with activity. The jobs will include everything from reception staff to general managers. In addition there will be aquatic coaches and various artists. There is a diverse mix of opportunities."
He added: "Because of the nature of the varied roles we will be hiring locally and internationally to ensure we get the best people for the job. We are anticipating at least 125 different nationalities working at Al Habtoor City. There will be a big focus on GCC nationals – including Emiratis to fulfill our Emiratisation program and ensure locals play an active role in our economy."
