Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Wednesday that discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are going well, signalling potential positive developments within the next two days. The IMF mission has been in Cairo since last week conducting the fifth and sixth reviews of Egypt's multi-year economic reform programme, which aims to bolster fiscal stability, stimulate growth, and attract foreign investment. "Things are going well with the IMF, and there will be positive news in the next couple of days," Madbouly said, underscoring the government's commitment to its reform agenda. The reviews are closely watched by investors as a gauge of Egypt's economic outlook and the implementation of measures supported by the IMF. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
