Egypt's next International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission is expected to arrive within the next few weeks, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Tuesday, offering reassurance that the country's economic programme is on track and free from external pressures. Speaking at his weekly press conference, Madbouly said the fifth and sixth reviews of Egypt's IMF programme have been planned and that a specific date for the mission has been agreed upon, though he added that he prefers the IMF to make the official announcement. "We are in almost daily contact with the IMF," Madbouly said. "Everything the state committed to has been submitted, and matters are on the correct track. All that remains is the official announcement of the mission's arrival to complete the review." The prime minister emphasised that Egypt is moving forward without any outside pressure to accelerate or influence the programme, underscoring the government's ongoing commitment to the structural reforms agreed with the IMF.
