Egypt exported 4,015 food shipments totalling 185,000 tons during the week of 1–7 November, the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) said Sunday, with Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, and Spain among the main importers. The shipments, handled by 1,350 exporting companies, included nearly 850 types of products, covering vegetables, tubers, grains, flour, fruits, and prepared food items. Sweet potatoes led vegetable exports with 12,000 tons, followed by onions (7,000 tons), and beans (5,000 tons). Among fruits, pomegranates topped exports at 10,000 tons, with mangoes and strawberries each at 5,000 tons. Egyptian exports reached a total of 184 international markets last week, underscoring the country's growing presence in the global food trade. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
