Egypt's Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed a memorandum of understanding on Saturday with the Arab Tourism Organisation, an affiliate of the League of Arab States, to strengthen cooperation in supporting handicrafts and empowering artisans across Arab countries. The agreement was signed at the opening of the seventh edition of the Torathna 2025 Exhibition for heritage and handicraft products, held under the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The partnership aims to expand the reach of the Torathna Exhibition across Arab states, enhancing marketing and export opportunities for artisans while highlighting the shared Arab cultural identity. Under the memorandum, MSMEDA will provide financial and technical support to project owners and artisans to boost their competitiveness in local and regional markets. In turn, the Arab Tourism Organisation will promote the exhibition within its tourism activities, coordinate participation among member states, and foster inter-Arab heritage tourism. The cooperation also covers the joint organisation of the Torathna Exhibition in member countries, the exchange of expertise in exhibition management and marketing, and the promotion of traditional crafts through workshops, awareness sessions, and shared databases, ensuring confidentiality and inclusivity for artisans and productive families.
