Egypt's Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy met on Tuesday with executives from Türkiye's NG Hotels Group to discuss potential hotel investments in coastal destinations, the ministry said in a statement. Founder Nafi Güral and CEO Erkan Güral, who are visiting Egypt with a delegation, expressed interest in expanding into Egyptian resort cities including Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and the North Coast. Minister Fathy said Egypt aims to boost hotel capacity by increasing room supply to meet rising international tourist demand. He noted that tourist arrivals from Türkiye rose 56.5 per cent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2025. The Turkish delegation reviewed the Group's operations since its establishment in 2008, including hotels across Turkey, and signaled readiness to partner with Egyptian investors as part of its expansion strategy.
