Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy met with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum Chairman of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority on the sidelines of Fathy's visit to Dubai for the Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2025). The two sides discussed opportunities to enhance coordination and boost tourist arrivals from GCC countries and Asia to Egypt by utilising Emirates Airlines network. They also discussed the option of expanding Emirates Airlines flights to Egyptian tourist destinations like Hurghada and New Alamein. They explored potential collaboration to link these cities with integrated flight routes to long-haul markets, making it easier to access Egypt and attract a variety of tourists.
