Egypt denies reports of manual distribution of subsidised bread

Egypt's Ministry of Supply denied early Monday media reports claiming subsidised bread would be distributed manually, saying the electronic system remains in full operation nationwide.
The ministry said the reports, which circulated on some news websites and social media platforms, were outdated and unrelated to the current situation. It stressed that bread distribution continues electronically without disruption across all governorates.
Authorities urged media outlets and citizens to verify information and rely only on official statements from the ministry, adding that it will issue announcements if any emergency arises.
