EGX closes in green area on August 28

Egypt's stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
* The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.14 per cent, to 35,727.19 points.
* The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 0.59 per cent to 3,592.87 points.
* The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.40 per cent to 3,871.43 points.
* The SMEs index, EGX70 jumped by 0.81 per cent, to 10,897.59 points.
* The EGX100 index soared by 0.72 per cent, to 14,507.89 points.
The total market cap reached 2,491,611,871,468 Egyptian pounds.
The Arbas and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,796,437,376 Egyptian pounds and 3,436,960,700 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were sellers with 5,233,398,076 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
1. Rights Issue Of El-Nile Co For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical shares went up by 26.15 per cent to 53.260 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation shares rose by 20.00 per cent to close at 291.600 per cent a share.
3. North Cairo Mills shares jumped by 20.00 per cent, closing at 96.860 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
1. GMC GROUP FOR INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS shares dropped by 4.73 per cent to 1.610 Egyptian pounds at closing.
2. Grand Investment Capital shares fell by 4.32 per cent to close at 24.370 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Sinai Cement shares sank by 4.27 per cent, closing at 51.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
