Egypt's stock market (EGX) rose on Tuesday, led by local investor buying appetite. The benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.77 per cent to 36,100.07 points, while the EGX33 Shariah index edged 0.13 per cent higher to 3,632.61. The EGX35-LV gained 0.08 per cent to 3,853.09, the SMEs-focused EGX70 rose 0.38 per cent to 10,808.61, and the EGX100 gained 0.40 per cent to 14,489.65. Total market capitalisation stood at 2,516,550,068,544 Egyptian pounds. Egyptians were net buyers with 7,442,611,478 Egyptian pounds, while Arabs and foreign investors were net sellers with 6,280,674,842 Egyptian pounds and 1,161,936,636 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Top gainers 1. Shares of Mohandes Insurance soared 20.00 per cent to close at the price of 23.400 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation 20.00 per cent to trade at the price of 128.110 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of General Company for Land Reclamation, Development, and Reconstruction jumped 14.25 per cent to the purchasing price of 96.050 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of Rights Issue of Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. -1 plunged 33.81 per cent to close at 0.509 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance dived 6.77 per cent to end at 76.950 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
