Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairperson of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), concluded his promotional tour in the United States with a series of meetings and engagements with American institutions and companies operating in economic development, energy solutions, and advanced irrigation technologies. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and attract further US investment into the Zone. Gamal El-Din began the day by participating in a roundtable organised by the Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation, where he presented the competitive advantages of the SCZONE, the incentives offered to investors, and the promising opportunities for localising industries and boosting export capacity to regional and global markets. He emphasised that the SCZONE has earned the confidence of investors worldwide and is fully committed to advancing technological and sustainable solutions across its industrial and logistics sectors. He also held a meeting with Honeywell, where he met Sudhakar Janakiraman, President of Building Solutions, and Adam Joiner, Vice President of Global Sales. The visit included a tour of the company's facilities to explore its latest offerings in industrial automation, energy-transition technologies, and energy-storage systems. Discussions focused on potential cooperation to implement smart and sustainable solutions across SCZONE ports and industrial zones, supporting industrial localisation and enhancing operational efficiency. In line with efforts to strengthen collaboration in smart irrigation technologies, Gamal El-Din met with Dragon Line, a company specialising in mobile drip-irrigation systems. He held discussions with company representatives Monty Tiller and Dimitri Vakulenko to explore opportunities to manufacture mobile drip-irrigation systems and centre-pivot irrigation technologies, supporting the development of water-management industries and aligning with SCZONE's sectoral integration goals. The SCZONE delegation's promotional tour in the United States featured a series of engagements with leading American institutions and companies in advanced technology, sustainable energy, pharmaceuticals, medical industries, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and smart agriculture. Throughout the tour, the delegation highlighted cooperation opportunities and explored avenues for attracting US investments aimed at localising industries and applying smart, sustainable solutions across multiple sectors. The visit reaffirmed SCZONE's position as an integrated hub for manufacturing and logistics services and its growing role in strengthening connectivity between regional and international markets.
