Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) will hold its first investment roadshow in Türkiye in late September as part of efforts to lure new investors, the zone's chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien said Tuesday. According to a SCZONE statement, Gamal El-Dien noted that the zone's competitive advantages — from skilled labour and low-cost energy to its location linking Africa, Asia and Europe — make it an attractive destination for Turkish companies seeking to expand in global markets. The roadshow comes as Egypt and Türkiye deepen economic ties following a thaw in political relations, with Turkish firms already among the top investors in Egypt's textile and manufacturing sectors.
