Egypt's Minister of Planning Rania Al-Mashat on Monday held an expanded meeting with all state bodies concerned to set plans for integration among stakeholders and define the standard operating procedures for registering births and deaths of Egyptians abroad, according to a Cabinet statement. Minister Al-Mashat said the system aims to achieve integration in managing the national population identity and to strengthen the state's capacity for planning and shaping future policies. She highlighted that the system is part of Egypt's strategic health initiatives, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population, and has achieved a significant leap in population identity governance. The minister added that the integrated system is a pioneering step to enhance Egypt's health planning, with accurate and interconnected data forming the foundation for effective policy, the report said. Investments are being directed to improve information infrastructure in the health sector, including the birth, death, and vaccination registration system, which provides a comprehensive model for a unified health information system based on reliable data. This supports evidence-based policies, reduces development gaps across regions, and improves resource allocation to priority areas, aligning with Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Agenda.
