Egypt's Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour has met with Public Business Sector Minister Mohamed Shimi to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two ministries, as per a Cabinet statement. Talks focused on aligning education outputs with labour market needs through training and qualification programmes, supporting sustainable development plans, and optimising the use of assets owned by state companies and higher education institutions to maximise economic and social returns. The meeting also reviewed potential joint projects in higher education, scientific research, and community development, as well as tourism and hospitality initiatives, aimed at fostering closer integration between academic, educational, and applied fields.
