Egypt's Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir met on Tuesday with Indian Ambassador to Cairo Suresh K. Reddy to explore future economic cooperation and investment opportunities in the industrial and transport sectors, according to a ministry statement. El-Wazir emphasised welcoming foreign investors, including serious Indian companies, to participate in industrial and investment projects, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Reddy called Egypt a strategic gateway to Africa and Europe, noting $3.5 billion in existing Indian investments in Egypt and plans to expand in industry, logistics, ports, and renewable energy, the report added.
