Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Monday met with the head of the General Authority for the Golden Triangle Economic Zone (GTEZ) Mohamed Abadi to review the authority's latest work, as per a statement from the Cabinet on Sunday. Abadi outlined recent steps, including forming a new board, establishing a dedicated commercial registry office, and developing the Safaga headquarters. He noted progress in attracting major local and international developers for industrial, agricultural, and logistics projects, with a focus on phosphate fertiliser production. The 2025/2026 plan aims for financial sustainability without burdening the state budget, completing regulations, finalising the administrative structure, and securing agreements with global investors.
