Egypt's Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny has visited Hydroo, a Spanish pump production company, to explore the company's advanced manufacturing and technological capabilities, as it is one of the world's leading companies in designing and manufacturing integrated water pumping system solutions, according to a Cabinet statement. El-Sherbiny inspected Hydroo's advanced manufacturing capabilities, including its integrated production unit for stainless steel pumps, moulding systems, hydraulic and electrical testing, and its wide range of pumping solutions. Hydroo's portfolio covers vertical, horizontal, submersible, and firefighting pumps with flow capacities reaching up to 4,500 m3/h, using various materials such as plastics, duplex stainless steel, and cast iron. The minister stressed that pumps are critical to Egypt's national water and wastewater projects, adding that growing local demand provides a strong incentive for global companies to localise production in Egypt. He noted the state's provision of legislative incentives and support for partnerships with both the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) and private Egyptian manufacturers, the statement added.
