Egypt and Vietnam discussed appointing a coordinator and establishing a mechanism to implement a newly agreed Comprehensive Partnership plan during talks on Tuesday between Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and visiting Vietnamese President Luong Cuong. The discussions mark a step forward in elevating the bilateral ties to cover cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, renewable energy and cultural exchange. Prime Minister Madbouly said the partnership reflects both nations' commitment to deepening cooperation and announced plans for a joint business council to boost private‐sector engagement and expand trade. He encouraged more Vietnamese companies to invest in Egypt, which he described as a strategic gateway to African and Middle Eastern markets. The prime minister praised Vietnam's development achievements, saying Egypt seeks to draw on Hanoi's experience to advance its own reform plans. Luong Cuong highlighted opportunities in agricultural trade, digital transformation and oil exploration, and invited Prime Minister Madbouly to visit Vietnam. He also voiced support for Egypt's role in promoting regional stability. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
