Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) to enhance and support the human rights process, the CAPMAS announced. The protocol reflects a joint effort to establish clear frameworks of cooperation aimed at strengthening and intensifying national efforts to foster human rights principles. Under the agreement, CAPMAS will provide data and information to help identify the most marginalised population groups and geographic areas requiring greater attention from the Council's committees. The two sides will also promote institutional integration by organising workshops that incorporate statistical tools and methodologies into the evaluation and monitoring of human rights issues. Implementing national strategies through practical measures that fulfil the objectives of the National Human Rights Strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030. It also aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development, and the UN 2030 Agenda as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and relevant treaties.
