Egypt's Healthcare Authority (EHA) head Ahmed El-Sobky met with the CEO of Orange Egypt Hesham Mahran to discuss improving communication and digital services for healthcare in line with state goals, the Cabinet said on Thursday. The meeting tackled collaboration in automation and virtual healthcare technologies to boost innovation and support the country's sustainable development goals. It also explored partnerships in telemedicine, virtual care services used in Europe, and tech support for Egypt's virtual hospital in Ismailia. El-Sobky noted that Ismailia virtual hospital is the first of its kind in Africa, the third in the Arab region, and the largest in the Middle East in terms of capacity. He stressed that it is being prepared to connect with medical hubs across several African nations, in line with Egypt's strategy to strengthen its healthcare footprint on the continent.
