Egypt's central bank governor Hassan Abdalla met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss enhancing cooperation across key financial sectors, with a focus on MSMEs, a statement said. The two sides reviewed existing frameworks of collaboration between the CBE, the Egyptian banking sector, and the EBRD. Discussions centred on deepening partnerships, particularly in expanding access to finance for MSMEs—viewed as vital drivers of financial inclusion, economic growth, and sustainable development.
