Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, on Tuesday announced that all telecommunications services disrupted by the Ramses exchange fire will be gradually restored within 24 hours. He stressed that Egypt does not rely on a single exchange, adding that all services handled by Ramses exchange have already been rerouted to other facilities to ensure connectivity. "Egypt does not depend on one exchange, and although Ramses exchange central will remain out of service for several days, services will resume gradually after being rerouted through multiple other exchanges," Talaat confirmed. Most critical services across the country remain operational, while faults in a few areas are being addressed. Authorities are also working to identify and compensate affected users. A large fire erupted at the Ramses telephone exchange at 18:00 on Monday, causing service disruptions. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
