Egypt's Deputy Health Minister Mohamed El-Tayeb held a meeting at Al-Alamein Hospital in Matrouh Governorate to assess the hospital's capabilities and needs to deliver high-quality medical and therapeutic tourism services, the Cabinet said. The meeting is part of the Ministry's plan to develop facilities into specialised centers offering high-quality treatment and hospital services to attract both Egyptian and international patients, the statement added. The discussions also reviewed Al-Alamein Hospital's current infrastructure and discussed the key technical, equipment, and human resource requirements necessary to upgrade the facility to international standards. The meeting concluded with recommendations to initiate steps to accredit the hospital as a specialised centre for medical tourism, ensuring the availability of medical specialties and supportive services that meet the highest global standards.
