Asia-Pacific markets rose on Tuesday after President Trump confirmed the Iran-Israel ceasefire, with Iranian media reporting that Tehran had fired its final missiles at Israel. Japan's Nikkei 225 index increased by 1.14 per cent to end the day at 38,790.56, and the Topix index also saw a gain of 0.73 per cent to close at 2,781.35. In South Korea, the Kospi index surged by 2.96 per cent to finish at 3,103.64, while the Kosdaq index for small-cap stocks rose by 2.06 per cent to close at 800.93. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index was up by 0.95 per cent to 8,555.5. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index increased by 2.06 per cent to 24,177.07, and China's CSI 300 index rose by 1.2 per cent to 3,904.03.
