Egypt has implemented measures to protect food security amid regional crises, including launching large-scale agricultural projects to increase cultivated land, as per a Cabinet statement. Furthermore, Egypt has expanded its food import sources by authorising new origins, enhancing its ability to withstand disruptions in any country, the statement added. The government has increased its strategic food stockpile by importing 4.9 million tons of wheat, 4.2 million tons of yellow corn, and 2.2 million tons of soybeans since January to ensure market stability.
