Egypt's Minister of Labour Mohamed Gobran held virtual meeting on Tuesday with a delegation from the European Union to explore avenues for cooperation on key areas of mutual interest, according to a statement by the Cabinet. The discussions focused on launching a joint awareness campaign to inform private employers and workers about the new labour law, promoting rights and responsibilities, better labour ties, and decent work conditions. The meeting also touched on EU participation in the rollout of Egypt's National Employment Strategy, which seeks to formulate a comprehensive employment policy, increase job creation, reduce unemployment, and align vocational training and education outcomes with labour market demands both domestically and abroad.
