Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) are continuing to examine mechanisms and alternatives to secure the domestic market's natural gas needs while maximising economic returns, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi said during a recent board meeting of EGPC. He added that the ongoing efforts aim to ensure a stable and uninterrupted gas supply by leveraging both commercial partnerships and intergovernmental agreements. The strategy also seeks to reduce the foreign currency burden linked to energy imports. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
