Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has visited the UAE's Emirate of Fujairah, accompanied by Undersecretary for Petroleum Product Transport and Distribution Nasser Shoman, to advance energy cooperation between the two sides. Discussions focused on implementing the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Egypt and the Government of Fujairah in August 2024. The agreement aims to supply petroleum products to the local market through partnerships established by the Fujairah International Oil and Gas Corporation with global suppliers. The talks also explored leveraging Fujairah's integrated petroleum system and applying it at Al-Hamra Petroleum Port on the Mediterranean coast. The initiative supports the establishment of a petroleum logistics hub at Al-Hamra Port, utilising Egypt's strategic geographic location and advanced energy infrastructure. The move is expected to reinforce Egypt's role as a regional energy hub and a key centre for petroleum product trading. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
