Egypt's Minister of Local Development Manal Awad met on Monday with Hatem Nabil, head of the Central Agency for Organisation and Administration (CAOA), to discuss cooperation on administrative reform and staff development, the Cabinet said in a statement. Talks focused on developing organisational and functional structures across governorates, cities, districts, and villages, as well as capacity-building programmes tailored to job roles, in a bid to improve public service delivery and support broader development goals. The two sides also reviewed the CAOA's work through its Centre for Competency Assessment and Electronic Examinations, which conducts tests for leadership positions within the ministry and across governorates. The initiative aims to align staffing with operational needs and strategic priorities. Nabil praised the ministry's progress under Minister Awad's leadership, citing improvements in local administration across multiple governorates, according to the statement.
