Russia regained its position as Kazakhstan's top exporter in the first quarter of 2025, supplying 29.1 per cent of goods, according to Kazakhstan's Bureau of National Statistics. In January-February 2025, Russia was the second largest importer to Kazakhstan with a 28.5 per cent share, following China at 28.8 per cent. By March, China's share had decreased to 26.8 per cent. In Q1, Italy continued to be Kazakhstan's top export destination, accounting for 25.2 per cent of exports, followed by China at 15.1 per cent and Russia at 9.8 per cent.
