Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity's Takaful and Karama Programme signed a cooperation protocol with the Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fund to finance micro-enterprises as part of the World Bank loan. The protocol aims to support the World Bank's goal of expanding Takaful and Karama cash transfers and enabling vulnerable individuals to launch income-generating projects, as per a Cabinet statement on Thursday. The protocol provides technical, financial, and administrative support to vulnerable groups, aiming to enhance their livelihoods, reduce aid dependency, promote beneficiary products, and support a national campaign for rural industries. Training will also be provided to associations, funding institutions, and aid recipients to help them become self-reliant, in addition to sharing studies and research related to training, education, and skills development for the most vulnerable groups.
