Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday with Danone Egypt, a global leader in the food and beverage sector, to strengthen cooperation in clinical nutrition, the Egyptian Cabinet reported. Under the agreement, Danone Egypt will provide nutritional products and fortified beverages to patients in EHA's facilities, particularly those requiring specialised dietary support. The company will also train clinical nutritionists on the latest developments in the field. The protocol further outlines Danone's participation in public health and awareness campaigns led by the authority, aiming to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness of proper nutrition as a key element in both prevention and treatment. EHA Chairman Ahmed El Sobky emphasised the importance of forming strategic partnerships with major local and international companies to enhance healthcare quality. He stressed the role of private sector involvement in achieving integrated health services aligned with international quality standards under Egypt's Universal Health Insurance system.
