Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday praised the valued efforts of India's Bohra community in restoring and renovating the shrines of the Prophet's family and several historic mosques in Egypt, saying these efforts complement the state's drive for development and the revitalisation of historic Cairo. During his meeting with Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin, leader of India's Bohra community, President Sisi also lauded the community's development and charity projects in Egypt in collaboration with the Tahya Misr Fund. Sultan Saifuddin commended Egypt's leading role in promoting peace, security, and stability in the region, highlighting its efforts to ease tensions, particularly its mediation to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception he continues to receive during his visits to Egypt, reaffirming his special appreciation for President Sisi's consistent hospitality. He also praised Egypt's ongoing development and comprehensive renaissance across various fields, alongside its promotion of citizenship and tolerance principles.
