Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed his appreciation for participating in BRICS summit hosted by Russia, emphasising Egypt's commitment to engaging in such an event, the Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement. President Sisi praised Russia's efforts during its summit presidency and emphasised Egypt's strong commitment to strengthening cooperation with Russia in all areas, according to the statement. This cooperation extends both multilaterally and bilaterally, with significant progress made in various fields under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries in 2018. Sisi also expressed appreciation for the cooperation between the two countries on several joint projects, especially the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project.
