Seven Holding Companies subsidiaries of the Minister of Public Business Sector have signed 21 deals with information technology companies along with IT systems integrators to carry out digital transformation of 60 public enterprises. The information technology companies include SAP and Microsoft while IT systems integrators are Fiber Misr, Atos and Wadi El Nile, according to Mohamed Masoud, Digital Transformation Officer at Ministry of Public Business Sector. The project aims to standardise, improve, and automate the work systems of companies and raise production efficiency with total cost of $50 million. The seven companies include the Metallurgical Industries CO., Chemical Industries Holding Company (CIHC), Cotton & Textile Industries Holding Co., Holding Co. for Maritime & Land Transport, HoldiPharma, Holding Co. For Tourism, Hotels & Cinema, and Misr Insurance Holding Company. The project is the largest digital transformation project in Egypt and the Middle East, Masoud added.
