Landmark Sabbour, Marriott deal to open hotel in One-Ninety New Cairo
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 16 - 12 - 2019

Egypt's Landmark Sabbour, developer of premium-quality real estate, said on Monday it has signed a deal with Marriott International to bring the W Brand's bold design, signature service, and innovative programming to Cairo, underscoring the growing demand for luxury in Egypt.
Expected to open in 2024, W Cairo will be situated in One-Ninety – a 300,000 square metres mixed-use development in the emerging New Cairo district featuring retail space, commercial, and residential components
Landmark Sabbour invested 28 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.75 billion) in its One-Ninety development.
Landmark Sabbour works with a vision that is not only based on leading through expansion, but also through collaboration.
Accordingly, Amr Sultan – Managing Director of Landmark Sabbour – said: "we choose to work with those who share our development standards, innovative perception of luxury community building, and whose objectives align with our own".
He added: “our collaboration with Marriot International represents another milestone in our growth; it further demonstrates our commitment to collaborate with industry leaders, and stands as a chance to integrate the unique customer-centric services of W Hotels into our line of upscale products in One-Ninety."
"New Cairo is a burgeoning, dynamic lifestyle destination in Cairo, and we are excited to collaborate with Landmark Sabbour to redefine modern luxury in one of the most awe-inspiring travel destinations in the world," said Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.
"This signing not only illustrates our commitment to Egypt but also reinforces the increasing demand for the W Hotels brand in this region and around the globe."
When W Cairo opens in 2024, the hotel will embody W Hotels' work hard, play hard philosophy with a signature WET Deck (pool deck), Fitness Centre alongside 350 stunning rooms and suites.
The hotel is also expected to offer multiple food and beverage venues, plenty of spaces to mix and mingle, plus meetings and events space which will include a 500-square-metre Great Room.
To be located just 25 kilometres from Cairo International Airport, the new hotel will add its own vibrant W experience to the ultra-modern urban landscape of New Cairo.
Known for seeking out new/next destinations in buzzworthy markets around the globe, W is poised to welcome guests and locals to the new-build locale as the city's reputation for ground-breaking design grows as fast as its skyline. New Cairo is planned to become Egypt's new capital in the coming years.
Landmark Sabbour, one of Egypt's few real estate companies with a portfolio extending beyond its borders, recently launched One-Ninety; a mixed-use development residing in New Cairo.
One-Ninety covers 300,000 square metres and has a built-up area of 450,000 square metres, including administrative, retail, commercial, and residential components.
The project will include a comprehensive administrative area that spreads over 75,000 square metres and has a built-up area of 200,000 square metres, and features state-of-the-art, fully finished office spaces. The development is located approximately 25 km from the Cairo International Airport.
Efforts, from both the public and private sectors, to boost Egypt's tourism sector have yielded positive results with the number of overseas visitors reaching 11.6 million arrivals in the past year, this is a 40 percent increase from 8.3 million from the year before.
Moreover, New Cairo is continuing to grow as Cairo's business, residential and lifestyle hub. The area is also set to become a focal point for tourist attraction with the New Katameya International Airport currently under construction with an expected opening within the next two years
