Cairo University has referred three professors of mass communication to a disciplinary council for allegedly inciting students to stage protests on campus. Among them is Professor Mahmoud Khalil, who has been highly critical of the university's leadership. “I will file a lawsuit against President Hossam Kamel,” said Khalil. “I can prove the corruption of his administration.” Khalil also accused Kamel of preventing professors and students from expressing themselves, and called him a remnant of the former regime and a supporter of the counter-revolution.
