Seventeen Egyptians have continued their sit-in for a third day inside the Egyptian Embassy in Paris, calling for the immediate removal of Egypt's ambassador to France. The protesters demand Ambassador Nasser Kamel's immediate removal and the appointment of a lawyer to represent them. They also demand IDs to vote in Egypt's upcoming elections, extending the embassy's working hours and removing the photo of former President Hosni Mubarak from the embassy's website. Ali Etman, one of the protesters, said they will not end their sit-in until the ambassador and his consultants and aids are removed. He accused the embassy of being against the Egypt's 25 January revolution, saying that nearly 5000 Egyptians demonstrated in solidarity on 29 January and French authorities detained about 200 of them. "The embassy did not intervene at all, and the protesters were threatened they will not be allowed to return to Egypt," he said. Mohamed Hussein, another protester, said they sent a letter to Egypt's ruling military council, interim prime minister and foreign minister to stress their demands.
