Health Ministry: Child from Damietta 79th Human Bird Flu Case

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday, by their Spokesperson Abdel Rahman Shahin, that the number of human bird flu cases increased to 97 after the infection of 17-month-old child Ahmed Eissa, who lives in al-Basarta village, Damietta Governorate.
 
Fever hospitals in several governorates received several suspected cases of bird flu along the past two days.
 
In Dakahlia Governorate, Mansoura Chest Hospital received yesterday eight suspected cases: Rushdi Belal Rushdi, 7, Reda Belal Rushdi, 2, from Meet Antar village, Talkha province; one-year-old Ahmed Hamdi Mohamed from Al-Ma'sara village; Hanan Sabir Ibrahim Zahir from Ezbat Wasef village, Meet Ghamr province; Mohamed Mohamed Abbas, 2, from Zahra village, Belqais province; Youssef Al-Amir Dhai, 2, from Mansoura; Salama Belal Rushdi, 2, from Kom el-Derbi village; and Somai Mohamed Hassan, 12, from Mansoura.
Qena Fever Hospital received two suspected cases; Do'aa Mustafa Hamdi, 2, from Al-Hugairat village; and Suheir Ibrahim Ahmed, 27, from Al-Kasheh village.
 
In Beheira, the Ministry of Health Undersecretary in Beheira Youssri Mabrouk said Damanhour Fever Hospital received 13-year-old Ahlam Radwan Nour Eddin on suspicion of being infected with bird flu.
 
In Qalyubia, 16-year-old Al-Saeed Abul Fotouh, a worker in a poultry farm in Benha, was admitted to Benha Fever Hospital. Director of Preventive Medicine Abdel Atti Abdel Alim said samples for analysis were taken from Abul Fotouh after he took Tamiflu.
 
In Damietta, eight suspected cases have been admitted to Damietta Fever Hospital.
 
Furthermore, Menya Fever Hospital admitted yesterday Reda Masoud Anwar Abdel Qader, 4, from Manshiyat Halaf village, Al-Adwa province; and Amal Mohammed Abdel Fatah, 32, from Demshaw village.
