Ayman Nour''s head
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 31 - 05 - 2009

What happened to it? Was it burned intentionally or became inflamed because of the hair drier? Or has Ayman Nour played with the situation which may have lead to its burning?
I am compelled at the beginning - and being compelled is the worst thing to be when you want to put your point of view across on an issue belonging to the opposition (an opposition who is yet to be determined) - to emphasize that I sympathize with Ayman Nour and wrote a lot about him, because we are children of one generation. We started the press together at the beginning of the eighties.
I saw him as part of the system, when the government opened the way and gave him opportunities.  However the same government soon changed the road map for Nour. Nour did not understand this change.  The government had paved the way for his demise, and then let him wound his own neck with the strings of forgeries.
Ayman Nour, was a political project who made a big mistake when he did not correctly estimate his own magnitude.  He gathered his own team around him, believing that he was able to manage everyone from all sides and shades of the political spectrum, but his end was on their hands.

Ayman Nour paid for his mistakes in prison, but remained visible, thanks to Al-Dostour newspaper which published his columns, and Al-Masry Al-Youm which followed up on him and published his news. As for the biggest credit it goes to my colleague, the great woman Gamila Ismail, his wife, who did not surrender to the greater prison Ayman left her in.  She used to grant him the kiss of life every morning, sacrificing her future and reputation.
Ayman Nour came out of prison without learning the lesson well as he did not give himself the opportunity to breathe and read the facts. Ayman Nour, rushed to attempt to reap the benefits of life in prison, forgetting and ignoring the role of his partner and his imprisonment. He roamed the provinces of Egypt as the leader of the single crown dreaming of the old presidency days, derived from the emotional feelings of people who did not have any relationship with his political value, or his ability to achieve any promise or political change.
Ayman Nour, suddenly turned around to find his wife had left the house, and announced her desire to separate. Nour could not believe it. He exaggerated, lied, and denied the claims but did not come out to the people to say that it was a family squabble he's working to resolve. Ayman Nour's head did not adapt to the change in the home, and he accused the newspapers and security services, for the leak of information resulting in publications about his private crisis.  Nour did not stop to review the mistakes and rearrange his priorities.
Ayman Nour, sees his real presence on the pages of newspapers.
Nour alleges he was hit by an unknown in the head and face with a burning flame. He went to the hospital and called the newspapers himself, declaring that he will not go to report the incident; he will sit in the house for two weeks until the effects subside. He could not bear the absence of the media for two days and Nour went to the police and reported the incident and then went to the Public Prosecutor who was unable to see any trace of burning, however the investigate continued.
The doctor who signed the medical examination was summoned and said that the hospital specializes in hair transplants. Nour said he was burned by a hair dryer and that he wants to deposit 200 hairs, and asked for prices.

Nour was not with his driver, as he claimed in the beginning, but was accompanied by his own hairdresser.  An examination done by forensic experts was too late. It is evident that Nour was keen on the passage of time as he waited until his burns where less serious.  If he was not, then why did he not initiate and expedite the reporting. Forensic experts will inevitably be more likely to accept the two possibilities but lean towards what the doctor said in her statement to the prosecution.
Nour will lie and lie, as he only wants to accuse the government and security, and Muhammad Mustafa Sherdi. He is legally prohibited from assuming political work, and says that what happened to him was because of his announcement to run for the presidency and the Council of People's Service in Port Said.
As if what he said scared the presidency, parliament and Sherdi forcing them to conspire against him and threatened his life with a flame while he was in his car or with a mysterious hair dryer!!
Nour 'errs' a lot, enters side issues and makes an unjustified amount of noise. Ayman Nour, a political project - which was great - should rest a lot and give his head time for recreation, reflection and organization before it burns, not by accident, but by Ayman himself!!
