MP condemns Abdel Rehim Ali's assassination attempt in Alexandria

Cairo - Member of the House of Representatives from the El Masreyeen El Ahrar Party (Free Egyptians Party) for El Minya governorate, Tawheed Tamer, condemned the assassination attempt of Dr. Abdel Rehim Ali, Member of the House of Representatives for Dokki and Agouza. Ali was in Alexandria on Saturday, May 13, 2017, where he was followed by a group of terrorists who filmed him while leaving the city heading back to Cairo.
In a statement to Al Bawaba Parliamentary News on Sunday, Tamer said, "There are those who try to forbid Ali from discussing certain issues," assuring that he will stand in support of Ali in whatever he asks of the parliament regarding security on him against terrorists.
The member of the House of Representatives called for the quick tightening of security around Dr. Abdel Rehim Ali, to guarantee and maintain his safety.
