President Abdel Fattah eal-Sisi left Monday the White House in Washington D.C., after meeting his US counterpart Donald Trump to discuss boosting bilateral relations and the latest security developments in the Middle East region. The two presidents discussed a number of issues, stressing on the importance of boosting bilateral relations at all political, economic and military levels in a way that is in the best interest of the two countries. Sisi reviewed the Egyptian vision in dealing with terrorism, which has become a serious threat not only in the Middle East region, but also worldwide, pointing out to the need to strengthen international cooperation in combating terrorism, in addition to eliminating sources of funding and arming terrorist organizations. The Egyptian president revealed his country's efforts to address extremism, through security and military confrontation, as well as renewing religious discourse by religious institutions in Egypt. The meeting also focused on the Egyptian vision for the crises of the region, including Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen, which is based on the need to preserve the national unity and protect state territories. In addition, the meeting shed light on the Palestinian issue, as Sisi stressed on the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution, in order to restore peace in the region. Meanwhile, US security forces have arrested a number of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group members in front of the White House in Washington D.C. The MB members attempted to disrupt Sisi's visit.
