Several members of the Egyptian community in the United States held Monday a demonstration to support and show their love for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in front of the White House in Washington D.C. This comes in light of the meeting between Sisi and his US counterpart Donald Trump to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations and the latest security developments in the Middle East region. The demonstrators waved flags of Egypt and raised posters of presidents, Sisi and Trump, as well as banners condemning the violence and terrorism. They chanted slogans in support of unity between Muslims and Christians and sang patriotic songs. A number of Egyptian parliamentarians and members of political parties, as well as journalists, who traveled to Washington D.C., in order to meet with Congressmen and prominent figures within the American society, have taken part in the demonstration. Demonstrators said that they came from various US states to support President Sisi's efforts to achieve security, stability and economic and social reform in Egypt, in addition to his efforts to preserve national unity and social peace among the Egyptian people.
