Egypt's police said on Thursday an improvised explosive device had been defused in Al-Arish, North Sinai with no injuries reported. The roadside bomb contained 100 kilograms of TNT explosives, a press statement by the interior ministry revealed. Civil protection forces and Bomb squad combed the area for other potential threats. Bomb attacks on security forces have been common since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in summer 2013. However, some of these attacks have targeted civilians.
