Security forces defuse explosive device in Sinai

North Sinai's security forces defused an improvised explosive device (IED) in Al-Arish city with no injuries reported, Al Masry Al Youm reported Sunday.
A security source said that the bomb squad intensified their presence immediately to the location of the bomb to defuse it and scan the area for other potential threats.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai as they claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
