The Egyptian army thwarted Sunday four terrorist attempted attacks on army personnel in North Sinai, Al Masry Al Youm newspaper reported. Security sources said the army succeeded in defusing four improvised explosive devices which were planted by a military road, adding that the army had destroyed 53 terrorist outposts, 7 motorcycles and a vehicle without license plates. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
