Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Karim Masimov held a meeting with President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on Saturday to discuss the ways to increase cooperation between the two countries during the coming period, Youm7 reported. The two officials stressed the need for expanding the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The prime minister said, "despite geographic distance between the two countries, Egypt is very close to our hearts. We have the same history, religion and culture. Both countries are related to Sultan Al Zahir Baybars name, as he spent his childhood in Kazakhstan and grew in Egypt."
