Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia decided to extend the negotiations concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) for another day, to reach an agreement between the Egyptian and Ethiopian delegations, Youm7 news reported. The six-party meeting in Khartoum will be resumed on Tuesday, to carry on the talks between the 3 countries that kicked off on Sunday. Media reports affirmed that disputes erupted between Egyptian and Ethiopian sides, where the Egyptian delegation insisted on extending the filling of water process to 10 years instead of 6 years, among Ethiopian intransigence. Talks will aim to reach an agreement between the three countries on the dam's issue, as well as discussing the implementation of the Khartoum agreement signed by the presidents of the three countries in March. The meeting includes the 3 countries' ministers of irrigation and foreign affairs.
