Foreign Affairs and Irrigation ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia will resume their talks over Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Saturday, Al Masry Al Youm reported. The talks, that started Friday seek an agreement between the three countries on the dam's issue, as well as reviewing disputes between Dutch Deltares and French BRL consultancy offices. During the talks' first day, the delegations of the three countries discussed the suggestion of relying only on the French office or to choose another office instead of the Dutch one. Ethiopia has erected a large part of its dam, that Addis Ababa deems essential for development. Egyptian officials have repeatedly stated the Nile River is the north African country's "main artery of life", confirming they will not abandon their "historic rights in the river's waters".
